Case Study:
Searcys National Champagne Week
Searcys Tansley & Co Limited is a nationwide catering business that runs and manages a number of Bars and Restaurants in the UK and is particularly synonymous with Champagne, responsible for ‘Europe’s Longest Champagne Bar at St Pancras International, as well as their flagship restaurant and 30 Pavilion Road in Mayfair.
With champagne at its core, Searcys created ‘National Champagne Week’ as a campaign to celebrate all its venues and showcase its leading brand partners in a series of nationwide events that took place in the first week of October in 2015.
Over 30 events from tastings and afternoon teas to charity dinners and food pairings took place in the venues in just seven days and involved 10 champagne brands at 15 venues.
Sam Lane Photography, who already works with a number of champagne brands, covered 21 of the events and activities, mainly in London but also including Blenheim Palace, with four taking place in one evening. This provided documentary images for Searcys and the champagne brands including: photos of guests and VIPS; stock imagery of food, staff, drinks and venues; and many more images that could be used for PR and on social media at the time, as well as providing a bank of images to be used for future events and promotions.
“We were delighted to work with Sam Lane Photography, the team were excellent, professional and efficient. We now have some great images and we got them quickly and in a format we can use for a variety of purposes.” Rhian Philips, Marketing Manager
